When a cult favorite like Julio’s expands its lineup, the packaging has to carry more than flavor. It has to carry history. This project introduced pork rinds, or chicharrones, to the Julio’s brand family by adapting the signature yellow chip bag into a new format that still felt unmistakably Julio’s. Latin American snack culture shaped the flavor story, and the visual system was built around recognition, appetite appeal, and shelf presence. The Pig Chef character brought just the right mix of charm and culinary confidence after several design rounds. From color to character, every element ladders back to the original Tex-Mex roots that made the brand a Texas staple. This packaging didn’t just launch a product. It opened the next chapter of an already-loved legacy.
